About Us
BRENNAN-PIERSON WANG
Brennan-Pierson Wang is an active teenager, and an unconventional WorldSchooler! He is a New York City native who has a keen interest in reading classics and Shakespeare, in writing fictional narrative essays, and in performing Spoken Word Poetry. His way of expression has always been channeled and fostered through the Arts in his earlier years - acting, dancing, and music. In 2018, Brennan-Pierson received recognition on his essay submitted to the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C., in a national writing contest called Letters About Literature, Level 2. After the semi-final rounds, he achieved First Place for the State of Florida. In between his academic studies and sports training, Brennan-Pierson multi-juggles competing in national chess tournaments and Florida USTA tennis tournaments, and training in TaeKwonDo (presently a First Degree Black Belt). His hobbies include skiing the back bowls in Blackcomb Whistler, Canada and tackling the "Steep and Deep" in Vail, Colorado. He is also a voracious reader, and practices speed-reading while peeling the pages of the New York Times. To relax, he enjoys composing original chill songs on the piano, guitar, Western and Eastern drums; and creating cool lyrics. Since 2016, Brennan-Pierson has developed a passion for Politics and the Law. He strongly believes education should be freely accessible and nurtured at a young age, a true equalizer that breaks all socio-economic barriers. JULIAN-ALEXANDRE WANG Julian-Alexandre is a dynamic and comical tween, truly an old soul beyond his years. He is a native New Yorker and a curious WorldSchooler! He loves art, history, poetry, and Greek Mythology. His passion lies in theater and drama. Being a Triple Threat (Singing, Dancing, Acting) has always nurtured and invoked a bold voice to express his inner thoughts and emotions. In 2018, Julian-Alexandre achieved recognition as a State Finalist for his essay submitted to the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C., in a national writing contest called Letters About Literature, Level 1. Despite a busy schedule with academics, he manages to compete in national chess tournaments, participates in USTA tennis tournaments, trains in TaeKwonDo (presently a First Degree Black Belt). Julian-Alexandre is a Level 7 skier, and calls NorthStar in California and Beaver Creek in Colorado his alternate homes. His love of playing multiple instruments, including the piano, the guitar, the drums, the Japanese Taiko drums has helped him create differently and stay flexible mentally. (His first instrument at age 2 - Suzuki Cello). Some of the earlier lessons consists of grueling exercises - sitting upright with pennies on both feet... for 30 minutes straight! Discipline and persistence... Three years ago, Julian-Alexandre has discovered a deep interest in the political arena and the U.S. legal court system. He credits his tiger parents for always advocating early reading and writing (including womb studies), discussing world issues/ problems, and encouraging diversity and open-mindedness. |
SKAI Team
We invite interested and motivated tweens and teens to join the SKAI Movement for peer-to-peer learning, collaboration and sharing. We seek other sagacious kids aiming to inspire ("SKAIers") to join us, assist with classes and help us pioneer the peer-to-peer learning movement. Let us pool together our talents and interests to make SKAI a national and global community of tweens and teens sharing knowledge. Brennan-Pierson and Julian-Alexandre are working on developing a fantastic SKAI Team Program and will have much more to share in the near future. In the meantime, if you're interested in becoming a SKAIer, please email and let us know. We would love to hear from you....!

Philosophy |
SKAI philosophy supports the explicit nature of blending FUN with CREATIVE LEARNING for tweens and teens! Our unconventional techniques promotes a collaborative and interactive “peer-to-peer platform” in which students share, teach, learn, and motivate together as a team. We break down the challenges of "thinking outside the box" and develop a strong passion for writing and expressing. Creativity is limitless!

Goals |
Most of the youth today prefer to watch television or engage in iPad/ video war games. We want to share our joy of literacy: creativity, writing, and poetry. If we can stimulate or inspire kids to pick up a pen and paper to create “words that rhyme” or “stories that move”, it would be the first step to make a slight difference.
Three-fold vision: First, our primary focus is “community service” - contributing back to our friends, neighbors, and peers. Second, our hope is to encourage, inspire, and motivate other peers to foster life-long assets of creativity and unabashed expression through writing. This is a LIFE SKILL that carries through adulthood. Third, our desire to connect like-minded youth to come together and share ideas. Stay out of trouble! Be part of the SKAI journey! |
